12th NetWorks Forum: Evolution of Network Planning

Event date: May 19 and 20, 2022

Location: International Congress Center Dresden

After two years of home office and video calls we can finally host our NetWorks Forum again. We want to discuss current trends with users and developers of the network planning software NetWorks, for example the planning of modern communication networks.

When we started developing our software, the number of required voice channels was calculated with the Erlang-B formula. Nowadays, connections with more than 100 GBit/s are required. This results in changes regarding the main focus of planning. The tasks of the network planners have changed over time, some have been automated. Nevertheless, there is currently and, from our point of view, also in the future a need for computer-aided planning of telecommunications networks by creative planners. We want and we will support them with our software.

You can look forward to two exciting days with presentations on current technologies, network planning requirements and the application of our NetWorks software. The event will start on Thursday and end on Friday in the early afternoon.
