MWC Kigali 2025
A successful first appearance at the Mobile World Congress in Kigali 2025
From October 21 to 23, 2025, representatives from Detecon International GmbH exhibited together with the NetWorks team at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Kigali, marking NetWorks first ever participation at Africa’s leading technology event.
The event featured 75 hours of content which was delivered by roughly 230 speakers to an impressive number of attendees: 3.000. 37% of the attendees are involved in the telecommunication ecosystem. For the NetWorks representatives it was an inspiring experience, filled with innovation, insights and meaningful conversations about the future of network design and digital infrastructure.
The booth attracted strong interest, and many visitors took the opportunity to explore live demos and engage directly with the expert team. The following NetWorks solutions that enable efficient network planning and operation were demonstrated:
- NetWorks NG Transport: An integrated solution for analyzing, planning and documenting IP and WDM networks.
- NetWorks Fixed Access: Purpose-built for planning and documenting optical access networks.
- NetWorks Survey & Redline: An app for mobile devices to collect on-site data, verify routes and perform redline corrections.
The team held valuable discussions with operators, technology partners and policymakers from across Africa about the challenges and opportunities of next-generation connectivity.
A standout moment was the presentation “Deploying Efficient 5G Networks in Africa” during the 5G Summit, done by our colleague Dr. Richard Majoor, sharing insights into scalable and sustainable network development. The key takeaway is that digital processes and integrated planning tools are essential for accelerating both fibre and 5G deployment across the continent.
A huge thank-you to everyone who visited us at MWC Kigali 2025! As first-time exhibitors we’re thrilled by the positive feedback and meaningful connections we made. We return inspired and excited to continue supporting efficient network transformation across Africa and beyond.
Don’t hesitate to reach out if you’d like to learn more about how NetWorks can help you plan, optimize and operate tomorrow’s networks today.
